Legends Program Returns In MLB The Show 23

Now that we are getting closer to the release date of MLB The Show 23, more information about the game has been announced recently. During this time San Diego Studios has announced information about the Legends Program, which will feature special cards of former professional players in MLB The Show 23.

In MLB The Show 23 we will see the introduction of some legendary cards to Diamond Dynasty. Finding a card from the Legends Program will help us a lot when we enter the game because of the attributes they have. Now that the list of players that will be available in MLB The Show 23 has been finalized, we can choose among these players at the beginning of the game. This year's list not only contains some big stars, but the developers have also maintained different rankings according to the position of the athletes.

Legends Program will return in MLB The Show 23

The Legends Program is a way for the MLB franchise to honor the special performances of former professional players who have become icons in baseball. This model has now become a series tradition with special cards for all the legends of the series.

During this time the developers have been announcing the Legends players in the Legends Program and more are expected to appear in the days leading up to the game's release. Here are the players announced so far in MLB The Show 23:

  • Ian Kinsler (2B) – Rangers – Revealed: February 13
  • Mike Lowell (3B) – Marlins – Revealed: February 22
  • Greg Vaughn (OF) – Padres – Revealed: February 23
  • Derek Jeter (SS) – Yankees – Revealed: February 24
  • Carlos Peña (1B) – Rays – Revealed: March 1
  • Jake Peavy (SP) – Padres – Revealed: March 2

Note that so far Derek Jeter has not been revealed as a standalone legend. But, he will be one of the cover athletes if the player chooses to get the legendary version, so he will likely be in the program. Under the Legends program, all these pro players will have a total of 99 cards in MLB the Show 23.
